President, Carrera Energy LLC
Mr. Herrmann has thirty years of diverse oil and gas industry experience. He graduated from Texas Tech University in 1985, with a B.A. degree in Accounting. Upon graduation, he began his career with Tenneco Exploration and Production. Mr. Herrmann then moved on to his family oil and gas business in the Texas Panhandle for 4 years before selling the company in 1991. His career expanded with British Gas in 1991, repositioning overseas in West Africa. Later, he transferred to Thailand as Finance and Administration Manager in 1994. In 1997, Mr. Herrmann joined Pogo Producing Company as Finance Manager for Pogo’s Thailand business unit. He was promoted to Country Manager in 2001. After Pogo sold their Thailand assets, he moved to Midland Texas as Director of Business Development in 2005. He was a founding partner and President of Limestone Exploration in 2008, Limestone Exploration II in 2010, and currently with Carrera Energy LLC
William Q. Rogers
Vice President, Geology, Permian Basin
Mr. Rogers joined Carrera Energy in 2013 with over 30 years of exploration and development geology experience. He currently oversees the exploration and development of Carrera’s Permian Basin exploration. Prior to joining Carrera, he was Manager, Geology at Limestone Exploration II. At Limestone he was responsible for the company’s Mississippian and Woodford horizontal drilling project in Oklahoma.
Prior to Limestone he was Senior Division Geologist – Permian Basin Region for Mariner Energy, Inc. in Midland, Texas, from 2008 to 2011. At Mariner Energy, he had responsibility for various exploration plays including the prolific Wolfberry Trend in the Midland Basin. Prior to joining Mariner Energy, Mr. Rogers was Division Geologist for Pogo Producing Company in Midland, Texas, from 1998 to 2008. While at Pogo Producing Company, Mr. Rogers was involved in multiple exploration plays including early horizontal exploration of the Bone Spring formation and deep gas exploration in the Strawn and Atoka formations in the Delaware Basin. He began his career in 1982 with Gulf Oil Corporation in Houston, Texas, and subsequently Chevron Corporation where he held various technical positions exploring the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast and Permian Basin.
Mr. Rogers holds B.A. and B.S. degrees from Texas Christian University and the University of Texas – Arlington, respectively. He is also a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the West Texas Geological Society.
Vice President, Geology, Mid-Continent
Don Cameron, with over 35 years of exploration experience, joins Carrera Energy LLC as Vice President of Geology, Mid-Continent. Don was most recently the Midcontinent Area Geologist for Cisco Energy since October 2007. Prior to Cisco Energy, Don served as Owner and President of Diamondback Exploration Co. in Amarillo, an exploration company he formed in 1992. He served as a consultant for several large oil and gas companies on their Midcontinent properties. Don was also President of Genesis Exploration Co. from 1998 to 2002 which was a joint venture between Diamondback and Anadarko Minerals. Before forming Diamondback, Don was exploration manager for Pantera Energy Co. from 1983 to 1992 and was regional exploration geologist- Midcontinent for Pioneer Production Co. 1981 to 1983. Before Pioneer he worked as a geologist and well site geologist for Search Drilling 1979-1981.
Don received his B.S. in Geology from West Texas State in 1981 and his M.S. in geology from West Texas State in 1986. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Oklahoma City Geology Society and is a past president of the Panhandle Geological Society. Don currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Panhandle Producers and Royalties Owners Association.
Mr. Wright joined Carrera Energy, LLC in 2015 as the Operations Manager. Mr. Wright has over 44 years’ experience in oil & gas operations working within all aspects of the industry. Prior to Carrera Energy, Mr. Wright worked at Caza Petroleum Company, LLC for 7 years as Operation Manager. He was responsible for all operations in the Permian, Val Verde & Gulf Coast Areas. This includes West Texas, New Mexico and the Louisiana/Texas Gulf Coast areas. From 1994 to 2007, Mr. Wright was the Division Operations Manager at Pogo Producing Company for 13 years and he was responsible for all operations in the Western Division both company and outside operated. This includes West Texas, New Mexico and the Rocky Mountain areas. He helped expand Pogo Western Division from ± 150 wells to over 2800 producing oil & gas wells. Prior to Pogo, Mr. Wright cultivated his career with a blend of occupations related to the oil and gas industry.
Ron McIntyre was not a traditional student; when he graduated from high school, he began his career with OKI Oil & Gas in northern Oklahoma, and later for Halliburton, before returning to school. He is the fourth generation in his family in the oil and gas industry but the only one in his family that went on to receive a degree related to the industry. Ron received his B.S. degree in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Tulsa in 1990, and accepted a position with ARCO Oil & Gas as a Drilling Engineer. His area at that time was the coal degasification project in the four corners area near Durango, Colorado, and the San Juan Basin of New Mexico. He also worked on projects in the Permian Basin, southern Oklahoma, and Wyoming. In 1994, he accepted a position with Sperry Sun Drilling Services and managed their Midland, Texas, office drilling directional and horizontal wells in the Austin Chalk and Permian Basin. In 1998, he left Sperry Sun for a position with Pathfinder where he was responsible for engineering and planning horizontal and directional wells in New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Ron accepted an engineering position with EOG Resources in 2003 in Midland, Texas, where he was responsible for drilling vertical and horizontal wells in West Texas and southeast New Mexico. In 2005, Ron re-joined Pathfinder as an engineering technical advisor. He was responsible for interacting with operators in planning and implementing the drilling of directional and horizontal wells in the Permian Basin, Texas panhandle, and the San Juan Basin. Ron Joined Limestone Exploration II, LLC, in 2011 and was responsible for drilling wells in Oklahoma and Texas. Ron is currently the Drilling Manager for Carrera Energy LLC.
Travis Golding is a 1996 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University with a BA in Criminal Justice and Political Science. He started in the oil and gas business in March of 2007 as a Landman for Continental Land Resources in Roswell, New Mexico and spent the first two years of his career in courthouses in Southeastern New Mexico and West Texas. In 2009 he relocated to Northern Pennsylvania to continue his career with Continental in the Marcellus Shale. In 2010 he relocated to West Texas to serve as a Project Manager for Continental Land Resources. In February of 2011, he joined Limestone Exploration II as Land Manager. His responsibilities encompass all phases of land. Travis is currently the Land Manager for Carrera Energy, LLC.
Manager – Business Development
Mark has over 15 years of oil and gas experience in various Land and Land Management positions throughout the Mid-Continent, Delaware Basin, Powder River Basin and Williston Basin. Mark most recently served as Land Manager at SandRidge Energy, LLC, where he held various supervisory and management positions over the Delaware Basin and Mid-Continent Division. Mark oversaw an annual CAPEX Land Budget ranging from $50mm to $100mm per year, more than 600,000 net acres and over 20 rigs at any given time. Throughout his tenure at SandRidge, Mark helped lead the company to $3.0 billion worth of divestitures and over $1.0 billion in acquisitions or grassroots projects. Prior work experiences include Land Manager at Maverick Brothers Resources, LLC, Land Manager at Windsor Energy Group, LLC, Landman at Devon Energy Corporation and Landman at Chesapeake Energy Corporation. Mark holds a BBA in Energy Management from the University of Oklahoma.
Kelly Hardy received a B.G.S. degree from Texas Tech University. Started in the Oil and Gas Industry in 2010 working for Cisco Energy as a Land Assistant. She moved to Midland Texas in 2013 and is now working as a Landman for Carrera Energy LLC.
Manager, Geotechnical Data and Support
Mrs. Stump has 10 years of oil and gas experience. Most recently, she was Limestone Exploration II’s Manager of Technical Data. Prior to that, she was Mariner Energy’s Geological Technician for Mariner’s Permian Basin Region. She began her career in the oil and gas industry as a contract Geological Research Technician working for several small independent oil and gas operators in Midland, Texas. She has general studies coursework from Midland College, Midland, Texas.
Daniel Mendoza began his career in accounting after receiving a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 2007 from Sul Ross State University in the small West Texas town of Alpine. He performed as Internal Auditor at the Marfa National Bank, in the neighboring town of Marfa, for two years. In 2010, he earned a Master of Science in Accounting degree from Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. Daniel then returned to West Texas when recruited to join Texas-based public accounting firm, Weaver, at their Midland, Texas location as an Audit Associate employed on engagements in a variety of industries. In 2013, he began his role as Assistant Controller for Stanolind Operating LLC and Stanolind Oil & Gas, LP; building a wealth of accounting knowledge unique to the oil and gas industry. Daniel joined the team as Controller at Carrera Energy LLC in early 2017.
